மொத்தக் கருவுறுதல் விகிதம் 2.0

ஐந்தாவது தேசியக் குடும்ப சுகாதார ஆய்வறிக்கையின் (2019-21) படி, இந்தியாவானது * * 2.0 என்ற மொத்த கருவுறுதல் விகிதத்தினை (TFR) எட்டியுள்ளது. இது தேசிய மக்கள் தொகைக் கொள்கை 2000 மற்றும் 2.1 என்ற TFR விகிதத்தினை இலக்காக கொண்ட தேசிய சுகாதார கொள்கை 2017 ஆகியவற்றின் கீழ் நிர்ணயிக்கப் பட்ட இலக்குகளை அடைந்துள்ளது. மொத்தக் கருவுறுதல் விகிதம் என்பது ஒரு பெண் தன் வாழ்நாளில் பெற்றெடுக்கும் சராசரி குழந்தைகளின் எண்ணிக்கையாகும். இது ஒரு பெண்ணுக்கு எத்தனை குழந்தைகள் என்ற அடிப்படையில் மதிப்பிடப் படுகிறது. மொத்த கருவுறுதல் விகிதம் ஆனது, 1950 ஆம் ஆண்டுகளில் 6 அல்லது அதற்கும் மிக அதிகமாக இருந்தது.

Total Fertility Rate of 2.0

❖ India has achieved a Total Fertility Rate (TFR) of 2.0, according to the National Family Health Survey-5 (2019–21). ❖ This meets the targets set under the National Population Policy 2000 and the National Health Policy 2017, which aimed for a TFR of 2.1. ❖ The total fertility rate is the average number of children that a woman will have during her lifetime. ❖ It is measured in terms of children per woman. ❖ The total fertility rate, was as high as 6 or more in 1950s.

சமூக நீதியின் அடிப்படையில் கலைஞர்கள் மற்றும் கைவினைஞர்களுக்கு அதிகாரம் அளிக்கும் நோக்கில் தமிழ்நாடு மாநில அரசானது 'கலைஞர் கைவினைப் பொருட்கள் திட்டத்தினை' செயல்படுத்த உள்ளது. 25 வணிகங்கள்/கைவினைகளில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ள அனைத்துப் பிரிவினரும் பயன்பெறும் வகையில் இத்திட்டம் வகுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தத் திட்டமானது குடும்ப அடிப்படையிலான பாரம்பரிய வர்த்தகத்தை அடிப்படை ஆக கொண்டதல்ல. இது மானியத்துடன் இணைக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு கடன் ஆதரவு, அதற்கான திறன் மற்றும் தொழில்முனைவோர் மேம்பாடு ஆகியவற்றுடன் தற்போதுள்ள வர்த்தகத்தை நன்கு விரிவுபடுத்துவதற்கும் புதிய முன்னெடுப்புகளைத் தொடங்குவதற்கும் திட்டமிட்டு உள்ளது. இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ், 25 சதவீத மானியம் (அதிகபட்சம் 50,000 ரூபாய்), 5 சதவீத வட்டி மானியம் மற்றும் தேவையான அனைத்து ஆதரவையும் உள்ளடக்கிய 3 லட்சம் ரூபாய் கடன் ஆதரவு வழங்கப்படும்.

Kalaignar Craft Scheme

❖ Tamil Nadu will implement 'Kalaignar Kaivinai Thittam,' aimed at empowering artisans and craftsmen based on social justice. ❖ The scheme has been formulated to benefit all sections of people who are engaged in 25 trades/crafts. ❖ The scheme is not based on family based traditional trades. ❖ It envisages subsidy linked credit support, skill and entrepreneur development for expansion of existing trades and launch of new initiatives. ❖ Credit support of Rs 3 lakh, which includes subsidy of 25 per cent (a maximum of Rs 50,000), 5 per cent interest subsidy and all other necessary support will be provided under this scheme.

*வருவாய் புலனாய்வு இயக்குநரகம் (DRI) ஆனது, சமீபத்தில் இந்தியாவில் கடத்தல் 2024 என்ற தலைப்பிலான அறிக்கையினை வெளியிட்டது. 2023-24 ஆம் ஆண்டில் வான்வெளி வழியான கொக்கைன் கடத்தல் தொடர்பாக சுமார் 47 வழக்குகளை இந்த முகமை பதிவு செய்துள்ள நிலையில் இதற்கு முந்தையதொரு ஆண்டில் 21 வழக்குகள் பதிவாகியுள்ளன. 2023-24 ஆம் ஆண்டில் சுமார் 1,319 கிலோ தங்கம் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டது, அதற்கு முந்தைய ஆண்டில் 600 கிலோ தங்கம் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டது. 2022-2023 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 481 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பிலான FTA முறைகேடு வழக்குகள் பதிவாகியுள்ளது என்பதோடு இதனுடன் ஒப்பிடும் போது 2023-24 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 1,427 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பிலான வழக்குகள் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. * ஆப்கானிஸ்தான், ஈரான் மற்றும் பாகிஸ்தானை உள்ளடக்கிய மரண பிறைநிலவுப் பகுதி எனப்படுகின்ற இந்தப் பகுதியானது, இந்தியாவிற்குள் ஹெராயின் கடத்தலின் முதன்மை ஆதாரமாக உள்ளது. மியான்மர், லாவோஸ் மற்றும் தாய்லாந்தை உள்ளடக்கிய மரண முக்கோணம் எனப் படும் இந்தப் பகுதியானது செயற்கை மருந்துகள் மற்றும் ஹெராயின் ஆகியவற்றின் கடத்தலுக்கான முதன்மை ஆதாரமாக உள்ளது.

Smuggling in India report 2023/24

❖ A recent report titled “Smuggling in India 2024” is released by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). ❖ The agency recorded 47 cases in 2023-24 of smuggling of cocaine through the air route, against 21 cases the previous year. ❖ 1,319 kg of gold seized during 2023-24 compared to 600 kg the year before. ❖ It recorded cases of FTA misuse worth ₹1,427 crore during 2023-24 compared to ₹481 crore in 2022-2023. ❖ This region - Death Crescent, comprising Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan, is a primary source of heroin trafficked into India. ❖ This area - Death Triangle encompassing Myanmar, Laos and Thailand, is a significant source of synthetic drugs and heroin.

TN Hostels and Homes for Women and Children (Regulation) Act, 2014

❖ The Tamil Nadu government has decided to modify the procedure for grant of licence to hostels, lodging houses and homes for women and children. ❖ It has moved a Bill in the Assembly that seeks to suitably amend the Tamil Nadu Hostels and Homes for Women and Children (Regulation) Act, 2014. ❖ It seeks to receive the application for licence of such hostels, lodging houses and homes in the electronic form and are to be “auto-generated” subject to some conditions. ❖ Earlier, the applications were to be made to the respective Collector. ❖ While the validity was for three years, the Bill now seeks to extend it for 10 years.
