'இந்தியாவின் ஆற்றல் சேமிப்பு அமைப்புகள்' குறித்த அறிக்கை

இந்தியாவில் ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக நிறுவப்பட்ட பேட்டரி ஆற்றல் சேமிப்பு அமைப்பு (BESS) திறன் இருந்தது மார்ச் 2024 நிலவரப்படி மொத்தம் 219.1 MWh. Q1 2024 இல் திறன் நிறுவல்கள் மொத்தம் 120 MWh (40 MW). சோலார் ஃபோட்டோவோல்டாயிக் (PV) அமைப்புகள் பேட்டரி ஆற்றல் சேமிப்பு அமைப்புகளுடன் இணைந்து (PV + BESS) மொத்த நிறுவப்பட்ட திறனில் 90.6% ஆகும். அதிகபட்ச BESS திறன் சத்தீஸ்கரில் நிறுவப்பட்டது, இது 54.8% ஆகும். ஒட்டுமொத்த நிறுவப்பட்ட திறன். நாட்டின் செயல்பாட்டு பம்ப் செய்யப்பட்ட நீர் சேமிப்பு திறன் மொத்தம் 3.3 ஜிகாவாட் ஆகும் மார்ச் 2024 நிலவரப்படி நாட்டின் இயக்கத் திறனில் கிட்டத்தட்ட 76% தெலுங்கானா மற்றும் மேற்கு வங்கத்தில் உள்ளது.

‘India’s Energy Storage Landscape’ Report

❖ India had a cumulative installed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity totaling 219.1 MWh as of March 2024. ❖ Capacity installations in Q1 2024 is totalled at 120 MWh (40 MW). ❖ Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems combined with battery energy storage systems (PV + BESS) was accounted for 90.6% of the total installed capacity. ❖ The highest BESS capacity was installed in Chhattisgarh, accounting for 54.8% of cumulative installed capacity. ❖ The country’s operational pumped hydro storage capacity is totalled at 3.3 GW as of March 2024. ❖ Nearly 76% of the country’s operating capacity is in Telangana and West Bengal.

Centre for Innovation in Governance

❖ A Centre for Innovation in Governance has been set up at the Tamilnadu State Planning Commission. ❖ A first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, the centre, is established by the Tamil Nadu government under State Planning Commission. ❖ It aims at fostering an innovative ecosystem in governance in the State. ❖ The Centre will provide support to government departments and district administrations in piloting innovative projects and building capacity in various technologies that would augment effective governance in the State.

All Crops under MSP

❖ Haryana government announced that 24 crops in the state would be procured on Minimum Support (MSP). ❖ Out of the 24, around 10 are crops which are not extensively grown in the state. ❖ This was making Haryana the first state in India to do this on such a wide scale. ❖ The procurement will cost the government around Rs 123.65 crore. ❖ Wheat, paddy and maize are the main crops that are largely procured by the government on MSP.

Disaster Management (Amendment) Bill 2024

❖ The Disaster Management Act, 2005 was enacted to provide for the effective management of disasters. ❖ The Disaster Management (Amendment) Bill, 2024 introduced in the Lok Sabha. ❖ The Bill seeks to create a “disaster database at national and State level. ❖ It also makes provision for the constitution of “the Urban Disaster Management Authority” for the State capitals and large cities having municipal corporations, except the union territories of Delhi and Chandigarh. ❖ The Bill empowers the NDMA to take stock of the entire range of disaster risks in the country periodically, including emerging disaster risks. ❖ It includes “risks of those disasters that may not have taken place, but may occur in future due to extreme climate events and other factors.”

Vinesh Phogat disqualification

❖ The Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat was disqualified before the women's 50kg freestyle final at the Paris Olympics after failing to make weight. ❖ The disqualification means Phogat will not receive a medal. ❖ In the event of a disqualification of a finalist, no silver medal is awarded and the gold goes to the other finalist. ❖ Vinesh had scripted history by becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to reach the gold medal bout. ❖ Vinesh was found to be 100 grams over the weight limit during the morning weigh-in. ❖ As per the United World Wrestling's rule book’s Article 11, "If an athlete does not attend or fail the weigh-in, he/she will be eliminated of the competition and ranked last, without rank."
