அமெரிக்காவின் பிறப்புரிமை சார் குடியுரிமை

US Birthright Citizenship

❖ US President-elect Donald Trump has said he plans to end birthright citizenship in America. ❖ The Birthright citizenship is guaranteed under the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. ❖ It means that anyone born within American borders automatically becomes a citizen of the United States. ❖ This includes the children of tourists, students studying in American colleges on short-term visas and undocumented immigrants. ❖ To implement any changes in the Constitution, administration will require the support of a two-thirds majority in both chambers of Congress-- the Senate and the House of Representatives. ❖ In addition to this, the amendment must also be ratified by three-fourths of all state legislatures. ❖ In 2019, the Migration Policy Institute estimated that 5.5 million children under age 18 lived with at least one parent in the country illegally in 2019, representing 7% of the U.S. child population.

எஃகுத் தொழில் துறையினை கார்பன் நீக்கம் செய்வதனை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்ட உலகின் முதல் பசுமை எஃகு உற்பத்தி வகைப் பிரிப்பு முறையை இந்தியா அறிமுகப் படுத்தியுள்ளது. 2070 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குள் இந்திய நாட்டின் நிகர சுழிய உமிழ்வு இலக்குகளை ஆதரிக்கும் வகையில், பசுமை எஃகு உற்பத்தி தரங்களை வகைப் பிரித்தல் வரையறுக்கிறது. இந்த வகைபிரித்தல் ஆனது, உமிழ்வினுடைய தீவிரத்தின் அடிப்படையில் பசுமை எஃகு உற்பத்தியினை வகைப்படுத்துவதற்கு என்று ஒரு நட்சத்திர-மதிப்பீட்டு முறையை அறிமுகப் படுத்துகிறது. ஐந்து நட்சத்திரப் பசுமை எஃகு என்ற ஒரு தரம் வழங்கப்படுவதற்கு, உற்பத்தி நிறைவு செய்யப் பட்ட ஒரு டன் எஃகுக்கு (tCO2/tfs) 1.6 டன்களுக்குக் குறைவான CO2 உமிழ்வு ஆக இருக்க வேண்டும். சுமார் 2.2 tCO₂/tfsக்கும் குறைவான உமிழ்வைக் கொண்ட பசுமை முறையிலான எஃகு உற்பத்தியானது இந்தச் சான்றிதழினைப் பெறுவதற்குத் தகுதி பெறும்.

First Green Steel Taxonomy

❖ India has unveiled the world’s first Taxonomy of the Green Steel aimed at decarbonizing the steel industry. ❖ The taxonomy defines green steel standards to support the country’s net-zero goals by 2070. ❖ The taxonomy introduces a star-rating system to classify green steel based on emission intensity. ❖ Five-star green steel is requiring emissions below 1.6 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of finished steel (tCO2/tfs). ❖ Steel with emissions below 2.2 tCO2/tfs will qualify for green certification.

தமிழகத்தின் கடன் நிலுவைகள்

2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 31 ஆம் தேதி நிலவரப்படி, திறந்தநிலைச் சந்தைக் கடன்கள். மூலம் பெறப்பட்ட தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் நிலுவைக் கடன்கள் 6,00,993 கோடி ரூபாயாக உள்ளது. 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 31 ஆம் தேதியின் இறுதியில் இந்த மாநிலத்தின் ஒட்டு மொத்த கடன்கள் நிலுவை 8,34,544 கோடி ரூபாயாக இருந்தது. 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 31 ஆம் தேதி நிலவரப்படி, தமிழகத்திற்கான ஒட்டு மொத்த நிலுவைக் கடன் 7,41,498 கோடி ரூபாயாகும். வட்டியின் அடிப்படையில் மாநிலத்தின் நிலுவை 28,263.67 கோடி ரூபாயாக இருக்கும். அடுத்த 10 ஆண்டுகளில் (2023-24 முதல்) சந்தைக் கடனின் அசல் தொகைக்கான கடன் தொகை 3,75,951.97 கோடி ரூபாயாக இருக்கும். 2024-25 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான மாநில நிதிநிலை அறிக்கையின் படி, 2024-25 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மொத்தம் 1,55,584.48 கோடி ரூபாய் கடன் பெற்று, 49,638.82 கோடி ரூபாயை திருப்பிச் செலுத்த தமிழக அரசு திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது. இதன் விளைவாக, 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 31 ஆம் தேதியன்று நிலுவையில் உள்ள கடன் மதிப்பு 8,33,361.80 கோடி ரூபாயாக இருக்கும். இது 2024-25 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மொத்த மாநில உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தியில் (GSDP) 26.41% பங்கினைக் கொண்டிருக்கும்.

Tamil Nadu’s outstanding liabilities 2024

❖ Tamil Nadu’s outstanding liabilities from open market borrowings had stood at ₹6,00,993 crore as on March 31, 2024. ❖ The State’s overall outstanding liabilities stood at ₹8,34,544 crore at the end of March 31, 2024. ❖ As of March 31, 2023, the overall outstanding liabilities for Tamil Nadu was ₹7,41,498 crore. ❖ The State’s liability on account of interest would be ₹28,263.67 crore. ❖ The liability towards principal amount of market loan would be ₹3,75,951.97 crore over the next 10 years (from 2023-24). ❖ According to the State budget for 2024-25, the Tamil Nadu government plans to borrow a total of ₹1,55,584.48 crore during 2024-25, and repay ₹49,638.82 crore. ❖ As a result, the outstanding debt, as on March 31, 2025, will be ₹8,33,361.80 crore. ❖ This constitutes 26.41% of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in 2024-25.

Anti-missile system Dark Eagle
