தமிழக மாநில அரசானது, பன்னிரண்டாம் வகுப்பு மாணாக்கர்கள் மாநில வாரியத் தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்று உயர்கல்வியைத் தொடர்வதை உறுதி செய்வதற்காக மாநிலம் முழுவதும் சிறப்பு முகாம்களை நடத்தி வருகிறது. நான் முதல்வன் திட்டத்தின் (உயர்வுக்குப் படி) கீழ் ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டத்திலும் பள்ளி மாநிலத் திட்ட இயக்குநரகத்தினால் இந்தச் சிறப்பு முகாம்கள் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்படும். மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள பொறியியல், பலதொழில் நுணுக்கப் பயிற்சி, கலை, அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழிற்கல்வி கல்லூரிகளில் உயர்கல்வி பயிலப் பதிவு செய்யத் தவறிய மாணவர்களுக்காக இந்தச் சிறப்பு முகாம்கள் நடத்தப்படும். கல்லூரிகளில் உள்ள காலியிடங்களின் அடிப்படையில், சம்பந்தப்பட்ட கல்லூரிகளில் நேரடியாக மாணாக்கர் சேர்க்கையும் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும். 2022-23 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பன்னிரண்டாம் வகுப்பு பயிலும் 3,97,809 மாணாக்கர்களில், 2,39,270 மாணாக்கர்கள் உயர்கல்வியில் சேர்ந்துள்ளனர் மற்றும் 45,440 மாணாக்கர்கள் உயர்கல்வியினைப் பெற விண்ணப்பித்துள்ளனர். சுமார் 1,13,099 மாணாக்கர்கள் உயர்கல்விக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கவில்லை அல்லது பதிவு செய்ததற்கான போதுமான விவரங்களை வழங்கவில்லை. 2023-2024 ஆம் ஆண்டில், பன்னிரண்டாம் வகுப்பு பயிலும் 3,31,540 மாணாக்கர்களில், 1,97,510 மாணாக்கர்கள் உயர்கல்விக்கு விண்ணப்பித்துள்ளனர். சுமார் 1,34,030 மாணாக்கர்கள் விண்ணப்பிக்கவில்லை அல்லது விண்ணப்பம் குறித்த போதுமான விவரங்களை வழங்கவில்லை.

Naan Mudhalvan - Uyarvukku Padi program

❖ The Tamilnadu State government is conducting special camps across the State for the class XII students to ensure that they clear the board exam and pursue higher education. ❖ The special camps will be organised by the School State Project Directorate in each district under the Naan Mudhalvan’s scheme (Uyarvukku Padi). ❖ The special camp will be organised for the students, who failed to register for pursuing higher education in Engineering, Polytechnic, Arts, Science and Vocational colleges in the State. ❖ Spot admissions will also be made for the students based on the vacancies in the colleges. ❖ Of 3,97,809 Class XII students during 2022-23, 2,39,270 students have enrolled in higher education and 45,440 students have applied for higher education. ❖ 1,13,099 students have either not applied or not provided sufficient details of enrolment. ❖ In 2023-2024, of the 3,31,540 Class XII students, 1,97,510 students have applied for higher education. ❖ 1,34,030 students have either not applied or not provided sufficient details of application.

❖ A village in southern Iran has recorded the earth's highest ever heat index at 82.2°C (180°F) with a dew point of 97°F (36.1°C). ❖ The extreme figures were generated through a combination of an air temperature of 102°F (38.9°C) and 85% relative humidity. ❖ The weather station in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia has recorded a dew point as high as 93°F (33.9°C) in recent days. ❖ It currently holds the world record dew point of 95°F (35°C).

உலக தங்கச் சபையானது (WGC) 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இந்தியாவின் தங்க நுகர்வு ஆனது 750 டன்னிலிருந்து 850 டன்னாக உயரும் என்று கணித்துள்ளது. ஜூலை-செப்டம்பர் மாத காலாண்டில், இந்தியாவில் தங்கத்தின் தேவை ஆண்டுக்கு 10% அதிகரித்து 230 டன்களாக இருக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. அதிக இறக்குமதி வரி காரணமாக ஏப்ரல்-ஜூன் மாத காலாண்டில் தங்கத்தின் தேவை ஆண்டிற்கு 5% குறைந்து 158.1 டன்னாக இருந்தது.  ஜூலை 23 ஆம் தேதியன்று மத்திய நிதிநிலை அறிக்கையில் தங்கத்தின் மீதான இறக்குமதி வரியை 15 சதவீதத்திலிருந்து 6% ஆக அரசாங்கம் குறைத்ததன் மூலம், தங்கத்தின் தேவை விரைவாக உயர்ந்தது.
