அக்னி-4 உந்துவிசை எறிகணை சோதனையை இந்தியா மிக வெற்றிகரமாக நிறைவு செய்துள்ளது. சுமார் 4,000 கிலோமீட்டர்கள் வரையிலான இலக்குகளையும் தாக்கக் கூடிய வகையில் அக்னி-4 எறிகணையின் வரம்பு மேலும் அதிகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 20 மீட்டர் நீளமுள்ள எறிகணை ஆனது 1,000 கிலோ எடையைச் சுமந்து செல்லும் மற்றும் சாலையில் இயக்கக்கூடிய வகையிலான நடமாடும் ஏவு வாகனத்தில் இருந்து ஏவக் கூடிய திறன் கொண்டது. அக்னி-4 எறிகணை ஆனது முன்னதாக அக்னி-2 பிரைம் என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டது.

இந்தியாவில் துளிமத் (குவாண்டம்) தொழில்நுட்பத்தின் மேம்பாட்டினை மிக விரைவு படுத்தச் செய்வதற்காக தேசிய துளிமத் திட்டத்திற்கு இறுதியாக ஒப்புதல் வழங்கப் பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தத் துறையில் உள்ள பல்வேறு புத்தொழில் நிறுவனங்கள் 10 முதல் 50 கோடி ரூபாய் வரை மானியம் பெறலாம். * அடுத்த இரண்டு மாதங்களுக்குள் 6 கியூபிட்ஸ் திறன் கொண்ட இந்தியாவின் முதல் குவாண்டம் கணினியை அறிமுகப்படுத்தவும் இந்த முன்னெடுப்புத் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது. தேசிய துளிமத் திட்டம் ஆனது, இந்தியாவில் துளிமக் கணினியியல் மேம்பாட்டிற்காக சுமார் 6,000 கோடி ரூபாய் நிதி ஒதுக்கியுள்ளது. * அடுத்த மூன்று ஆண்டுகளில் சுமார் 20-50 கியூபிட்ஸ் கணக்கீடு கொண்ட துளிமக் கணினியை நிறுவுவதே இத்திட்டத்தின் குறிக்கோள் ஆகும். * மேலும், இது அடுத்த ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளில் 50-100 கியூபிட்ஸ்களையும் அடுத்த 10 ஆண்டுகளில் 50-1000 கியூபிட்ஸ்களையும் நிறுவ உள்ளது.
❖ The National Quantum Mission has finally received the nod to speed up the growth of quantum technology in India. ❖ Various start-ups in the field could receive grants of 10 to 50 crore. ❖ The initiative also plans on launching India's first quantum computer with the power of 6 qubits within the next couple of months. ❖ The National Quantum Mission has a corpus of around Rs. 6,000 crores to fund the rise of quantum computing in India. ❖ The goal of the mission is to establish a quantum computer with a computation of 20-50 qubits in the next three years. ❖ Also, it will establish 50-100 qubits in the next five years and 50-1000 qubits in the next 10 years.

சமீபத்தில் 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழ்நாடு நீரேற்றுப் புனல் மின்னாற்றல் சேமிப்பு திட்டக் கொள்கையினை (PSP) மாநில அரசு வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. நிலையான எரிசக்தி மேம்பாட்டிற்கு ஆதரவளிப்பதற்கும், புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க ஆற்றல் இலக்குகளை அடைவதற்கும், முதலீடுகளை ஈர்ப்பதற்கும், புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க ஆற்றலை ஒருங்கிணைப்பதற்கும் வேண்டி நீரேற்றுப் புனல் மின்னாற்றல் சேமிப்பு நிலையங்களின் திறனைப் பயன்படுத்துவதை இது நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. தமிழ்நாடு மாநிலமானது 9,000 மெகாவாட்டிற்கு மேலான காற்றாலை மின்னாற்றல் உற்பத்தித் திறன் மற்றும் 7,800 மெகாவாட் அளவிலான நிறுவப்பட்ட சூரிய சக்தி மின்னாற்றல் உற்பத்தி திறனைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. மாநிலத்தின் மொத்த நிறுவப்பட்ட பசுமை ஆற்றல் திறன் 22,628 மெகாவாட் ஆகும். தமிழ்நாடு பசுமை எரிசக்தி கழகம் லிமிடெட் (TNGECL) ஆனது இந்தக் கொள்கையைச் செயல்படுத்துவதற்காக நியமிக்கப்பட்ட தலைமை முகமையாக இருக்கும்.
❖ The State government has released the Tamil Nadu Pumped Storage Projects Policy (PSP) 2024. ❖ It aims to harness the potential of PSPs to support sustainable energy growth, meet renewable energy targets, attract investments, integrate renewable energy into the grid. ❖ Tamil Nadu has an installed wind energy capacity of over 9,000 MW and installed solar energy capacity exceeding 7,800 MW. ❖ State’s total installed green energy capacity is 22,628 MW. ❖ Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) shall be the Designated Nodal Agency for implementing this policy.
