சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தின் 53வது தலைமை நீதிபதியாகப் பதவியேற்ற நீதிபதி ஸ்ரீராமுக்கு தமிழக ஆளுநர் பதவிப் பிரமாணம் செய்து வைத்தார். சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் 43 ஆண்டு கால இடைவெளிக்குப் பிறகு தமிழ் மொழி பேசும் தலைமை நீதிபதி பதவியேற்றுள்ளார். இதற்கு முன்னதாக இப்பதவி வகித்த தமிழ் பேசும் உயர் நீதிமன்ற தலைமை நீதிபதி M.M. இஸ்மாயில் 1981 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 09 ஆம் தேதியன்று இராஜினாமா செய்தார்.

Ismail who resigned on July 9, 1981.
முதன்முறையாக, மத்தியப் பிரதேச மாநில தேர்தல் ஆணையம் ஆனது போபாலில் உள்ள பஞ்சாயத்து இடைத்தேர்தலில் உள்ள ஒரு வாக்குச் சாவடியில் காகிதமில்லா வாக்களிப்பை வெற்றிகரமாக நடத்தியது. பஞ்சாயத்து மற்றும் நகர்ப்புற உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகளில் எளிமையான, சுமூகமான மற்றும் வெளிப்படையான வாக்குப்பதிவை நடத்தும் ஒரு நோக்கத்திற்காக காகிதம் இல்லா வாக்குச் சாவடிகள் நிறுவப்பட திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. இந்த காகிதமில்லா வாக்குப் பதிவு செயல்பாட்டில், துல்லியமான அடையாள சரி பார்ப்பு மற்றும் வாக்குப் பதிவுகளை உறுதி செய்வதற்காக வேண்டி வாக்காளர்களின் கையொப்பங்கள் மற்றும் கட்டைவிரல் பதிவுகள் மின்னணு முறையில் பதிவு செய்யப் படுகின்றன. வாக்குப்பதிவு சதவீதம் மற்றும் வாக்குப்பதிவு கணக்கீடு ஆகியவையும் இயங்கலை வழியாகவே மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. வாக்குப்பதிவு முடிந்ததும், வேட்பாளர்களுக்கும் வாக்குச் சாவடி முகவர்களுக்கும் மின்னஞ்சல் மூலம் வாக்குச் சீட்டுக் கணக்குகள் அனுப்பப் படும்.
❖ In a first, the Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission has successfully conducted paperless voting at a booth in a panchayat by poll in Bhopal. ❖ The Paperless booths have been planned for the purpose of conducting a simple, smooth and transparent voting process in panchayats and urban bodies. ❖ In this paperless process, voters' signatures and thumb impressions are recorded electronically to ensure accurate identity verification and voting records. ❖ The voting percentage and ballot accounting are also being done online. ❖ After the voting ends, the ballot accounting will also be provided to the candidates and polling agents via email.
❖ As per the Union railway ministry, 10,000 locomotives & 9,000 km of railway tracks would equip with the Kavach 4.0 in the first phase. ❖ The nationwide implementation is aimed by December 2030. ❖ When the train is running at 130 kmph, the KAVACH automatically reduced the speed to 120 kmph through the caution zone and restored it back to 130 kmph after exiting. ❖ The train will be stopped 50 m from a red signal without the driver's intervention. ❖ The driver didn’t use the horn, but KAVACH automatically sounded it while passing the level crossing gate. ❖ The train will automatically be stopped at a red signal even when the driver has attempted to cross it.
2024 ஆம் ஆண்டில் தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஒரு பாதிப்புகள் கூட பதிவாகாத நிலையில், இந்த மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள 33 மாவட்டங்களில் மலேரியாவை ஒழிப்பதில் தமிழ்நாடு ஒரு படி முன்னிலையில் உள்ளது. 2014 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து தேசியக் கட்டமைப்பை படிப்படியாக ஏற்று, 2030 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குள் மலேரியாவை ஒழிக்க மாநில அரசு செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது. 2020 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் வரை இந்த நோயினால் உயிரிழப்பு ஏதும் ஏற்படவில்லை. 2020 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இம்மாநிலத்தில் 891 ஆக இருந்த பாதிப்பு எண்ணிக்கையானது ஓராண்டில் படிப்படியாகக் குறைந்து வருகிறது. 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டில் (ஆகஸ்ட் வரை) பாதிப்பு எண்ணிக்கை 233 ஆகக் குறைந்துள்ளது. 2020 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 80% ஆக இருந்த மாநிலத்தின் மொத்த மலேரியா நோயாளிகளின் எண்ணிக்கையில் சென்னை மாநகராட்சியின் பங்கு ஆனது 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 45% ஆகக் குறைந்துள்ளது என்பதோடு மேலும் 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இதுவரையில் 40% ஆக பதிவாகியுள்ளது. 1990 முதல் 1998 ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் சுமார் 50,000 பாதிப்புகள் பதிவாகின.
❖ Tamil Nadu is a step closer to eliminating malaria with 33 districts in the State recording zero indigenous cases in 2024. ❖ The State has been working towards eliminating malaria by 2030, adopting the national framework step by step from 2014. ❖ There were no deaths due to the disease from 2020 till August 2024. ❖ The number of cases reported a year has been steadily declining in the State — from 891 cases in 2020. ❖ The number has dropped to 233 in 2024 (till August). ❖ Chennai Corporation’s contribution to the total number of malaria cases in the State has dipped from 80% in 2020 to 45% in 2023; and 40% so far in 2024. ❖ Almost 50,000 cases were reported every year during 1990 to 1998.
