Initiatives to support start-up ecosystem

❖ Tamil Nadu government has launched initiatives that would help the start-up ecosystem in the State. ❖ The first was the Periyar Social Justice Venture Lab. ❖ This will provide dedicated advisory, coaching, and acceleration programme for social enterprises, climate action initiatives, and SC/ST start-up founders at both pre-investment and post-investment stages. ❖ The another was Thozhil Nayam. ❖ It is a design studio that aims to empower direct-to-consumer (D2C) start-ups in the State by having successful listings on e-commerce platforms. ❖ Tamil Nadu has recently established the Global Startup Coordination Centre in Dubai. ❖ Similar centres will soon be established in Singapore and the United States. ❖ The State also sponsored 19 start-up companies from Tamil Nadu to take part in the prestigious GITEX event held in Dubai recently

NAWO-DHAN திட்டம்

கேரளாவின் வேளாண்மைத் துறையானது, புதிய வேளாண் வள வாய்ப்புகள் தோட்டக் கலை வேளாண் வணிக வலையமைப்பினைத் தீவிரப் படுத்துதல் (NAWO- DHAN) திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ஒரு சோதனைத் திட்டத்தைத் தொடங்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது. NAWO-DHAN திட்டத்திற்காக அக்டோபர் மாதத்தில் வெளியிடப்பட்ட ஈடுபாடு விருப்ப ஆவணத்திற்கு (Eol) சுமார் 22 நில உரிமையாளர்கள் மற்றும் 149 விவசாயிகள் இது வரையில் விருப்பம் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், விவசாயிகளின் குழுக்கள் ஆனது, சேவை நிலை ஒப்பந்தங்கள் மூலம் குறிப்பிட்ட நிலத்தில் எந்தவிதமான உரிமையும் இல்லாமல், 'விவசாயத்தினை ஒரு சேவையாக' கருதி சாகுபடியில் ஈடுபடும். காய்கறிகளில் வருடாந்திர உற்பத்தி-தேவை இடைவெளி ஆனது 13.76 லட்சம் மெட்ரிக் டன்களாகவும், பழங்களில் 14 லட்சம் மெட்ரிக் டன்களாகவும் உள்ளன.

NAWO-DHAN scheme

❖ Kerala’s agriculture department is planning to launch a pilot project under the New Agriculture Wealth Opportunities - Driving Horticulture Agribusiness Networking (NAWO-DHAN) scheme ❖ Around 22 land owners and 149 cultivators have so far responded to an expression of interest (EoI) floated in October for NAWO-DHAN scheme. ❖ Under the scheme, the farmer groups will be engaged for the cultivation through Service Level Agreements (SLA) treating ‘farming as a service’ without any transfer of any interest in the land concerned. ❖ There is annual production-demand gap of 13.76 lakh metric tonnes in the case of vegetables and, 14 lakh metric tonnes in the case of fruits.

மின்சார கார்களை சேவையாக வழங்கும் திட்டம்

கன்வர்ஜென்ஸ் எனர்ஜி சர்வீசஸ் லிமிடெட் (CESL) நிறுவனமானது, அதன் மின்சார கார்களை சேவையாக வழங்கும் (EV as a Service) ஒரு திட்டத்தினை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி உள்ளது. இது அடுத்த இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளில் அரசு அமைச்சகங்கள் மற்றும் பொதுத் துறைப் பிரிவுகளில் 5,000 மின்சார கார்களைப் பயன்படுத்துவதை இலக்காகக் கொண்டு உள்ளது. CESL ஆனது நாடு முழுவதும் 2,000 மின்சார கார்களை ஏற்கனவே அறிமுகப்படுத்தி உள்ளது மற்றும் சுமார் 17,000 மின்சாரப் பேருந்துகளை அறிமுகப்படுத்தவும் உள்ளது.

EV as a Service

❖ Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has launched its ‘EV as a Service’ program. ❖ It is targeting the deployment of 5,000 electric cars in government ministries and public sector units over the next two years. ❖ CESL has already deployed close to 2,000 electric cars across the country and is facilitating the rollout of around 17,000 electric buses.

ஊரக மேம்பாட்டுத் துறையின் சாதனைகள் 2024

எட்டு மாவட்டங்களில் எட்டு புதிய சமத்துவபுரங்கள் கட்டுவதற்கான நடவடிக்கைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு, அந்தப் புதிய சமத்துவபுரங்களுக்கு 50 கோடி ரூபாய் ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. தூய்மை பாரதம் என்ற திட்டத்தின் (கிராமப்புறம்) கீழ், 2021-22 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் 2.43 லட்சத்திற்கும் அதிகமான கழிவறைகள் கட்டமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. நமக்கு நாமே என்ற திட்டத்தின் கீழ் 6,400க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பணிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு 5,700க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பணிகள் நிறைவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. 'கலைஞரின் கனவு இல்லம்' என்ற திட்டத்தின் கீழ், 2024-25 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மொத்தம் 3,500 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் 1 லட்சத்துக்கும் மிக அதிகமான கான்கிரீட் (பைஞ்சுதை) வீடுகள் கட்டமைக்கப்பட உள்ளன. கிராமப்புறங்களில் பிரதம மந்திரி வீட்டு வசதித் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 07 ஆம் தேதி முதல் அக்டோபர் 03 ஆம் தேதி வரை 3.30 லட்சம் வீடுகள் கட்டமைக்கப் பட்டுள்ளன. ஜல் ஜீவன் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், கிராமப்புறங்களில் உள்ள சுமார் 7.15 லட்சம் வீடுகளுக்கு மொத்தம் 2,123 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் குடிநீர் வழங்கீடு உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Achievements of Rural Development Department 2024

❖ Steps were on to construct eight new Samathuvapurams in eight districts and ₹50 crore has been allocated towards the new Samathuvapurams. ❖ Under the Swachh Bharat mission (Rural), over 2.43 lakh toilets have been constructed since 2021-22. ❖ Over 6,400 works have been taken up under Namakku Naame scheme and over 5,700 works have been completed. ❖ As for ‘Kalaignarin Kanavu Illam’ scheme, over 1 lakh concrete houses were to be constructed at a total cost of ₹3,500 crore during 2024-25. ❖ Under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme in rural areas, over 3.30 lakh houses have been constructed between May 7, 2021 and October 3, 2024. ❖ Under Jal Jeevan scheme, drinking water supply has been ensured for over 7.15 lakh houses in rural areas at a total cost of ₹2,123 crore.

Peace with Nature

ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபையின் 16 வது பங்குதாரர்கள் உச்சி மாநாட்டில் (COP16) பல்லுயிர்ப் பெருக்கம் தொடர்பான பேச்சுவார்த்தையில் கொலம்பியா நாடு "இயற்கையுடனான சமாதானம்-Peace with Nature" மேற்கொள்வதற்காக 20 நாடுகளுடன் ஒரு கூட்டணியைத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது. இந்தக் கூட்டமைப்பில் மெக்சிகோ, சுவீடன், உகாண்டா மற்றும் சிலி உள்ளிட்ட நான்கு நாடுகள் அடங்கும் என்ற நிலையில் இருப்பினும் ஆசியா-பசிபிக் பிராந்திய நாடுகள் எதுவும் இதில் இடம் பெறவில்லை. சுற்றுச்சூழலுடன் மிக இணக்கமாக வாழ்வதற்கு இயற்கையுடனான மனித குலத்தின் உறவை மாற்றுவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்ட கொள்கைகளின் தொகுப்பை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளும் நாடுகளுக்கு இந்தக் கூட்டணியில் இணைய அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Peace with Nature

❖ Colombia at the U.N. COP16 biodiversity talks launched a coalition with 20 other countries seeking to make "peace with nature”. ❖ The coalition includes countries from four continents including Mexico, Sweden, Uganda and Chile, although none from Asia-Pacific. ❖ The coalition is open to countries that agree to a set of principles aimed at changing humanity's relationship with nature, to live in harmony with the environment.
