Indian Railways status in 2024

❖ Indian Railways has achieved approximately 97 per cent electrification of its total Broad-Gauge network. ❖ Around 45,200 route kilometres of the Broad-Gauge network have been electrified since 2014-15. ❖ The pace of electrification has been increased from approximately 1.42 km per day during 2004-14 to about 19.7 km per day in 2023-24. ❖ Recently it launched the country's first hydrogen-powered train and it will soon undergo a trial run between Haryana's Jind and Sonipat railway stations.

அரசாங்கத்தின் மொத்த சந்தை கடன்கள்

2024-2025 ஆம் நிதியாண்டின் முதல் பாதியில் தமிழக மாநில அரசின் மொத்த சந்தைக் கடன்கள் 50,000 கோடி ரூபாயாக இருந்தது. தமிழ்நாடு அரசானது, மாநில மேம்பாட்டுக் கடன்கள் (SDLs) எனப்படும் பத்திரங்களை வெளியிடுவதன் மூலம் சந்தையில் இருந்து கடன் பெறுகிறது. 2024-2025 ஆம் நிதியாண்டின் முதல் பாதியில், மொத்தமாக சுமார் 64,000 கோடி ரூபாய்  மதிப்பிலான கடன் பெற்ற மாநிலமாக மகாராஷ்டிரா முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது. அதைத் தொடர்ந்து 44,000 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பிலான கடனுடன் ஆந்திரப் பிரதேசம் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளது. 2024-25 ஆம் ஆண்டின் முதல் பாதியில் தமிழகத்தின் மொத்த வருவாய் வரவுகள் சுமார் 1,23,970.01 கோடி.இது 2024-25 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான மாநில நிதிநிலை மதிப்பீட்டில் 41.46% ஆகும். தமிழகத்தின் மொத்த வருவாய் வரவுகளில் மாநிலத்தின் சொந்த வரி வருவாய் (SOTR) 75.6% ஆகும். மீதமுள்ள 24.4% ஆனது வருவாய் வரவுகள் ஆனது மத்திய அரசின் வரிகள் மற்றும் மானியங்களின் பங்கில் இருந்து பெறப்படுகின்றன. 2024-25 ஆம் ஆண்டின் முதல் பாதியில் தமிழ்நாட்டின் வருவாய்ப் பற்றாக்குறை ஆனது, வரவுகளை விட செலவினம் அதிகமாக இருப்பதைக் குறிக்கிறது. மொத்த வரவு மற்றும் மொத்தச் செலவினங்களுக்கு இடையேயான வித்தியாசமான நிதிப் பற்றாக்குறையானது 53,934.32 கோடி ரூபாயாக இருந்தது.

Government's gross market borrowings

❖ Tamil Nadu government’s gross market borrowings stood at ₹50,000 crore in the first half of fiscal 2024-2025. ❖ Tamil Nadu borrows from the market through issue of bonds known as State Development Loans (SDLs) to meet their funding requirements. ❖ Maharashtra was the top borrowing State in the first half of fiscal 2024-2025, with gross borrowings of ₹64,000 crore. ❖ It was followed by Andhra Pradesh at ₹44,000 crore. ❖ Tamil Nadu’s total revenue receipts stood at ₹1,23,970.01 crore for the first half of 2024-25. ❖ This is about 41.46% of the State’s budget estimates for 2024-25. ❖ The State’s Own Tax Revenue (SOTR) accounts for 75.6% of Tamil Nadu’s total revenue receipts. ❖ The balance 24.4% of the revenue receipts comes from the share in Central taxes and grants-in-aid from the Union government. ❖ Tamil Nadu’s revenue deficit, which indicates that expenditure exceeds receipts, came in at ₹28,717.51 crore in the first half of 2024-25. ❖ The fiscal deficit, the difference between total receipts and total expenditure, stood at ₹53,934.32 crore.

மாநிலங்களில் இணையவெளிக் குற்றங்களின் அதிகரிப்பு

தேசியக் குற்றப் பதிவு வாரியம் ஆனது (NCRB) இந்தத் தகவல்களை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் ஒன்றியப் பிரதேசங்களில் இணைய வெளிக் குற்றங்கள் சுமார் 24.4 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. இணையவெளிக் குற்றங்களின் கீழ் மொத்தம் 65,893 வழக்குகள் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு உள்ள நிலையில் இது 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பதிவானதை விட (52,974 வழக்குகள்) 24.4 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. பெங்களூரு மாநகரமானது, 22.6 சதவீத குற்றப் பத்திரிகை விகிதத்துடன் 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 9940 வழக்குகள் பதிவு செய்யப் பட்டுள்ளதுடன் பெருநகரங்களில் (2020-2022) அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான இணைய வெளிக் குற்றங்கள் பதிவாகியுள்ள நகரமாகத் திகழ்கிறது.  இதைத் தொடர்ந்து அதே காலக் கட்டத்தில் இது மும்பையில் சுமார் 4724 ஆகவும், ஐதராபாத்தில் 4436 ஆகவும், புது டெல்லியில் 685 ஆகவும் இணைய வெளிக் குற்றங்கள் பதிவாகியுள்ளன.

Cybercrime Surge in States

❖ These data were released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). ❖ In States and Union Territories cyber-crimes have seen a 24.4 percent increase. ❖ A total of 65,893 cases were registered under Cyber Crimes, showing an increase of 24.4 percent in registration over 2021 (52,974 cases). ❖ Bengaluru has recorded the highest number of cybercimes in Metropolitan cities (2020-2022) with 9940 cases registered in 2022 with chargesheet rate at 22.6 per cent. ❖ This was followed by Mumbai with 4724, Hyderabad was at 4436 and New Delhi recorded 685 in the same period.

'பால் விவாஹ் முக்த் பாரத்' பிரச்சாரம்

மத்திய அரசானது, "பால் விவாஹ் முக்த் பாரத்" என்ற தேசிய அளவிலான ஒரு முக்கிய பிரச்சாரத்தினை துவக்கியுள்ளது. குழந்தைத் திருமணத்திற்கு எதிரான இந்தப் பிரச்சாரம் ஆனது மேற்கு வங்கம், பீகார், ஜார்க்கண்ட், இராஜஸ்தான், திரிபுரா, அசாம் மற்றும் ஆந்திரப் பிரதேசம் ஆகிய ஏழு மாநிலங்களில் கவனம் செலுத்தும். இதற்காக குழந்தைத் திருமணம் அற்ற பாரதம் எனும் இணைய தளமானது தொடங்கப் பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த இயங்கலை வழி தளமானது குழந்தை திருமணச் சம்பவங்கள் குறித்து தகவல் அளிக்கவும், புகார்களைப் பதிவு செய்தல் மற்றும் நாடு முழுவதும் உள்ள குழந்தை திருமண தடுப்பு அதிகாரிகள் (CMPO) பற்றிய பல தகவல்களை அணுகுவதற்கும் குடி மக்களுக்கு உதவுகிறது. குடிமக்களுக்கு நன்கு அதிகாரம் அளிப்பதிலும், 2006 ஆம் ஆண்டு குழந்தை திருமணத் தடைச் சட்டத்தினை அமல்படுத்துவதிலும் இந்த இணைய தளம் ஒரு குறிப்பிடத்தக்க படி நிலையாகும். 2029 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குள் குழந்தைத் திருமணங்களின் எண்ணிக்கையை சுமார் 5 சதவீதத்திற்கும் குறைவாகக் குறைப்பதே இதன் நோக்கமாகும்.  2006 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 47.4% ஆக இருந்த குழந்தை திருமண விகிதம் ஆனது 2019-21 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 23.3% ஆக குறைந்தது

Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat’ Campaign

❖ The centre launched the national campaign “Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat”. ❖ The anti-child marriage campaign will focus on seven high-burden states—West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Tripura, Assam, and Andhra Pradesh. ❖ The Child Marriage Free Bharat Portal also inaugurated. ❖ This online platform enables the citizens to report child marriage incidents, file complaints, and access information about the Child Marriage Prohibition Officers (CMPOs) nationwide. ❖ The portal is a significant step in empowering the citizens and enforcing the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006. ❖ The aim is to reduce child marriage prevalence to below 5% by 2029. ❖ Child marriage rates dropped from 47.4% in 2006 to 23.3% in 2019-21.

எச்.ஐ.வி/எய்ட்ஸ் பாதிப்பு - தமிழ்நாடு

2023-2024 ஆம் ஆண்டில் தமிழகத்தில் எச்.ஐ.வி பாதிப்பு 0.16% ஆகக் குறைந்துள்ளது.  1997 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 1.18% ஆக இருந்த எச்.ஐ.வி பாதிப்பானது 2023-2024 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 0.16% ஆகக் குறைந்துள்ளது. இது தேசியச் சராசரியான 0.23 சதவீதத்தினை விடக் குறைவாகும். * 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் மாதம் வரை, 73 எச்.ஐ.வி எதிர்ப்பு மருந்து சிகிச்சை (ART) மையங்கள் ஆனது, மாநிலம் முழுவதும் உள்ள எச்.ஐ.வி/எய்ட்ஸ் (PLHIV) பாதிப்பினைக் கொண்டுள்ள சுமார் 1,32,590 நபர்களுக்கு தொடர்ச்சியான பராமரிப்பு, ஆதரவு மற்றும் சிகிச்சையை வழங்குகின்றன.

HIV/AIDS prevalence – Tamilnadu

❖ The prevalence of HIV in Tamil Nadu is dropping to 0.16% in 2023-2024. ❖ The State had brought down the HIV prevalence from 1.18% in 1997 to 0.16% during 2023-2024. ❖ It is lower than the national average of 0.23%. ❖ As of October 2024, 73 Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) centres offered continuum care, support and treatment to 1,32,590 Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) across the State.
