Tentative List for World Heritage site 2024

❖ There are nearly 60 properties in India which find a place in the Tentative List for further inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. ❖ A Tentative List is an inventory of those properties that each State Party intends to consider for nomination as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. ❖ Recently the mound-burial system of the Ahom dynasty in Assam - 'Moidams' was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. ❖ The site was put in the Tentative List of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2014. ❖ As of now, 42 properties have been inscribed on the World Heritage List."

உலக வர்த்தக அமைப்பு (WTO), சர்வதேச வர்த்தக மையம் (ITC) மற்றும் UN வர்த்தகம் மற்றும் மேம்பாடு (UNCTAD) அமைப்பு ஆகியவற்றால் 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு உலக சுங்க வரி விவரங்கள் அறிக்கை வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. உலக வர்த்தக அமைப்பு (WTO) நாடுகளில் இறக்குமதி குவிப்பு தடுப்பு வரிகளைத் அறிமுகப் படுத்தி, அதனை விதிப்பதில் அமெரிக்காவிற்கு அடுத்தபடியாக இந்தியா இரண்டாவது நாடாக உள்ளது. 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டில் சுங்க வரிகள் அல்லாத நடவடிக்கைகளின் பயன்பாடு அதிகரித்த போதிலும், 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 18.1 சதவீதமாக இருந்த இந்தியாவின் சராசரி சுங்க வரிகள் 17 சதவீதமாகக் குறைந்துள்ளது. 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டில், இந்தியா 45 இறக்குமதி குவிப்புத் தடுப்பு விசாரணைகளைத் தொடங்கி, 14 வழக்குகளில் வரிகளை விதித்தது. ஆனால் அமெரிக்கா சுமார் 64 விசாரணைகளைத் தொடங்கி 14 வழக்குகளில் கூடுதல் வரிகளை விதித்தது. இந்தியாவில் மொத்தம் 133 என்ற அளவில் இறக்குமதி குவிப்பு தடுப்பு நடவடிக்கைகள் மேற் கொள்ளப் பட்டு, 418 தயாரிப்புகள் மீது வரி விதிக்கின்றது. 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டில், இந்தியா 29 இறக்குமதி குவிப்பு தடுப்பு விசாரணைகளுடன் உலக வர்த்தக அமைப்பின் உறுப்பினர் நாடுகளுள் முன்னிலையில் உள்ளது. 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 14.7 சதவீதமாக இருந்த வேளாண்மை சாராத இறக்குமதிக்கான சராசரி சுங்க வரியானது 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 13.5 சதவீதமாக குறைந்துள்ளது. வேளாண் சார் சுங்க வரிகளும் 39.6 சதவீதத்திலிருந்து 39 சதவீதமாகக் குறைந்துள்ளது.

World Tariff Profiles 2024

❖ The 2024 World Tariff Profiles was published by the WTO, International Trade Centre (ITC), and UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD). ❖ India was the second country after the US in initiating and imposing antidumping duties among World Trade Organisation (WTO). ❖ Despite increasing the use of non-tariff measures in 2023, India’s average tariffs fell to 17 per cent from 18.1 per cent in 2022. ❖ In 2023, India initiated 45 anti-dumping investigations and imposed duties in 14 cases. ❖ But the US started 64 investigations and imposed additional duties in 14 cases. ❖ India has a total of 133 anti-dumping measures affecting 418 products .❖ In 2022, India led WTO members with 29 anti-dumping investigations. ❖ Average tariffs on non-agricultural imports dropped to 13.5 per cent in 2023 from 14.7 per cent in 2022. ❖ Agricultural tariffs also fell to 39 per cent from 39.6 per cent.

காவிரி ஆற்றின் நீரோட்டம் 2024

காவிரியில் 1.5 லட்சம் கன அடி நீர் திறக்கப் படுவதால், அதன் அளவு இரண்டு லட்சம் கன அடியாக உயர வாய்ப்புள்ளது. மேட்டூர் அணை திட்டத்தில் முதலில் 2.5 லட்சம் கனஅடி நீர் வழங்கப்பட்டு வந்தது என்ற நிலையில் இதற்கு முன்னதாக 1896 ஆம் ஆண்டில் அதிகபட்சமாக 2.07 லட்சம் கனஅடி நீர் வழங்கப்பட்டது. 1924 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 26 ஆம் தேதியன்று, ஆற்றில் வினாடிக்கு 4.56 லட்சம் கன அடி (கனஅடி) நீர் வரத்து இருந்தது. 1924 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 28 முதல் ஆகஸ்ட் 02 ஆம் தேதி வரையிலான கால கட்டத்தில், காவிரிப் படுகையில் அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான பகுதிகள் வெள்ளத்தால் பெரிதும் சேதமடைந்தன.

Cauvery river flow 2024

❖ The Cauvery is handling about 1.5 lakh cusecs of water, and the quantum is likely to go up to two lakh cusecs.  ❖ The Mettur project had originally provided for 2.5 lakh cusecs because the previous high was 2.07 lakh cusecs in 1896. ❖ On July 26, 1924, the river saw a flood of 4.56 lakh cubic feet per second (cusecs). ❖ During July 28-August 2, 1924, more number of areas in the Cauvery basin heavily damaged due to flood.

PM-PRANAM 2024

❖ The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), approved the PM-PRANAM scheme, aimed at restoring and nurturing the Mother Earth through the use of biofertilizers .❖ PM-PRANAM stands for Prime Minister Programme for Restoration, Awareness Generation, Nourishment, and Amelioration of Mother-Earth. ❖ It aims to complement the efforts initiated by States/UTs to save the health of Earth by promoting sustainable and balanced use of fertilizers, adopting alternate fertilizers, promoting organic & natural farming etc. ❖ All States/UTs are covered under the PM- PRANAM. ❖ Under the scheme, 50% of the fertilizer subsidy saved by a State/UT in a particular financial year by way of reduction in consumption of chemical fertilizers (Urea, DAP, NPK, MOP) compared to previous 3 years’ average consumption, will be passed on to that State/UT as Grant. ❖ States/UTs can utilize this grant for the benefit of people in the state, including farmers.

PM-PRANAM என்பது பிரதம மந்திரியின் புவி மறுசீரமைப்பு, விழிப்புணர்வு உருவாக்கம், ஊட்டமளிப்பு மற்றும் மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான திட்டம் என்பதைக் குறிக்கிறது. உரங்களை நிலையான மற்றும் சீரான முறையில் பயன்படுத்துவதை ஊக்குவித்தல், மாற்று உரங்களை ஏற்றுக் கொள்வது, கரிம வகை மற்றும் இயற்கை முறையில் வேளாண்மையினை ஊக்குவித்தல் போன்றவற்றின் மூலம் புவியின் ஆரோக்கியத்தை காக்க மாநிலங்கள் / ஒன்றியப் பிரதேசங்களால் தொடங்கப் பட்ட பல முயற்சிகளை நிறைவு செய்வதை இது நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. அனைத்து மாநிலங்களும் / ஒன்றியப் பிரதேசங்களும் PM PRANAM திட்டத்தின் கீழ் அடங்கும். இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், முந்தைய 3 ஆண்டுகளின் சராசரி நுகர்வுடன் ஒப்பிடும்போது, இரசாயன உரங்களின் நுகர்வு ஆனது (யூரியா, DAP, NPK, MOP) குறைக்கப் படுவதன் மூலம் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட நிதியாண்டில் ஒரு மாநிலம் / ஒன்றியப் பிரதேசத்தினால் சேமிக்கப்படும் உர மானியத்தில் சுமார் 50 சதவீமானது மானியமாக அந்த மாநிலம் / ஒன்றியப் பிரதேசத்திற்கு அனுப்பப்படும். மாநிலங்கள் / ஒன்றியப் பிரதேசங்கள் இந்த மானியத்தை அங்குள்ள விவசாயிகள் உட்பட மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள மக்களின் நலனுக்காகப் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.

நாணயம் மற்றும் நிதி அறிக்கை 2023/24 - இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி

எண்ணிமப் பொருளாதாரம் ஆனது தற்போது நாட்டின் மொத்த உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தியில் 10 சதவீதத்தைப் பங்கினை கொண்டுள்ளது என்பதோடு மேலும், இது 2026 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 20 சதவீதமாக இரு மடங்காக உயரும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. கடந்த மூன்று ஆண்டுகளில் தரவு கசிவு சார்ந்த சராசரிச் செலவினம் 28 சதவீதம் உயர்ந்துள்ளது. இளம் வயதில் கடன் வாங்குபவர்களின் சதவீதம் கணிசமாக உயர்ந்துள்ளது என்பதோடு மொத்த தனிநபர் கடன்களில் 65 சதவீதம் ஆனது சுமார் 35 வயதிற்கு குறைவானவர்களுக்கே வழங்கப்படுகிறது. இந்தியாவின் இணைய ஊடுருவல் ஆனது, 55.3 சதவீதமாக உள்ளது என்ற நிலையில் இது உலகச் சராசரியான 67.1 சதவீதத்திற்கும் குறைவாகவே உள்ளது. 100 பேருக்கு ஓர் இணையச் சந்தா என்ற வீதம் ஆனது, 68.2 என்ற அகில இந்திய சராசரி கொண்ட கிராமப்புற இந்தியாவுடன் ஒப்பிடச் செய்யும் போது நகர்ப்புறங்களில் அது இரண்டு மடங்கு அதிகமாக உள்ளது. கிராமப்புறக் குடும்பங்களில், 9.9 சதவீதத்தினருக்கு மட்டுமே கணினிகளை அணுகும் வசதி உள்ளது. நகர்ப்புறக் குடும்பங்களில் இந்த விகிதம் 32.4 சதவீதமாக உள்ளது. 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஒரு பயனருக்கு ஒரு மாதத்திற்கு ஆகும் சராசரி தரவு நுகர்வு 24.1 GB ஆகும்.

Report on Currency and Finance 2023/24 – RBI

❖ The digital economy currently accounts for 10 per cent of the country's GDP and is expected to double to 20 per cent by 2026. ❖ Average cost of a data breach jumped 28 per cent in the last three years. ❖ The percentage of young borrowers has risen considerably, with 65 per cent of the total personal loans given to borrowers aged less than 35.  ❖ India's internet penetration stands at 55.3 per cent, which is below the global average of 67.1 per cent. ❖ Internet subscriptions per 100 population in urban areas were more than two times higher compared to rural India with an all-India average of 68.2. ❖ Among the rural households, only 9.9 per cent have access to a computer. ❖ While the proportion is 32.4 per cent among the urban households. ❖ The average data consumption per-user per-month is 24.1 GB in 2023.
