E-DRIVE என்ற திட்டமானது மின்சார வாகனங்களின் பயன்பாட்டினை (EVs) நன்கு ஊக்குவிப்பதற்காகவும், மின்னேற்ற உள்கட்டமைப்பு மற்றும் உற்பத்தித் திறன்களை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காகவும் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. * 2026 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 01 முதல் மார்ச் 31 ஆம் தேதி வரை நடைமுறையில் இருக்கும் இந்தத் திட்டம் ஆனது நாட்டின் மின்சார வாகனப் போக்குவரத்தினை நோக்கிய மாற்றத்தினை துரிதப்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. * PM E-DRIVE திட்டமானது, திட்டத்திற்கான நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு மற்றும் வாகன இலக்குகளை புதிய கட்டமைப்பில் இணைத்து, நடப்பில் உள்ள 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு மின்சார வாகனப் போக்குவரத்து ஊக்குவிப்புத் திட்டத்துடன் (EMPS) ஒருங்கிணைக்கப்பட உள்ளது.

❖ The PM E-DRIVE scheme launched for the promotion of electric vehicles (EVs) and the development of charging infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities ❖ The scheme will run from October 1 to March 31, 2026, and aims to accelerate the country’s shift towards electric mobility. ❖ The PM E-DRIVE will absorb the ongoing Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) 2024, merging its budget and vehicle targets into the new framework.

நகர்ப்புற ஆளுமைக் குறியீட்டில் (UGI) கேரளா முதல் இடத்தைப் பெற்றுள்ளது.  55.10 புள்ளிகளுடன் ஒடிசா இரண்டாவது இடத்தைப் பிடித்தது. நிதி அதிகாரமளிப்பில், கேரளா 30க்கு 23.22 மதிப்பெண்களைப் பெற்றுள்ளது என்ற நிலையில் மகாராஷ்டிரா 21.15 மதிப்பெண்களுடன் இரண்டாவது இடத்தைப் பிடித்தது. நான்கு மாநிலங்கள் மட்டுமே (சத்தீஸ்கர், கேரளா, மிசோரம் மற்றும் ஒடிசா) ஒவ்வொரு மன்ற உறுப்பினரும் (கவுன்சிலரும்) குறைந்தபட்சம் ஒரு விவாதக் குழுவிலாவது அங்கம் வகிக்க வேண்டும் என்று ஆணையிட்டுள்ளன.

Urban Governance Index in India

❖ Kerala has secured first rank in the Urban Governance Index (UGI). ❖ Odisha came second with 55.10. ❖ In fiscal empowerment, Kerala managed to have high score of 23.22 out of 30, with Maharashtra coming second with 21.15.  ❖ Only four States (Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Mizoram, and Odisha) mandate that every councillor should be part of at least one deliberative committee.

* தேசிய அதிகார வரம்பிற்கு அப்பாற்பட்ட பல்லுயிர்ப் பெருக்க (BBNJ) வளங்கள் ஒப்பந்தம் அல்லது "பெருங்கடல் ஒப்பந்தம்" என்ற சர்வதேச ஒப்பந்தத்தில் இந்தியா கையெழுத்திட்டுள்ளது.  எந்த ஒரு நாட்டுக்கும் சொந்தமில்லாத கடல் பகுதிகளில் காணப்படும் கடல் வாழ் உயிரினங்களைப் பாதுகாப்பதே BBNJ ஒப்பந்தத்தின் குறிக்கோள் ஆகும். இந்தப் பகுதிகள் ஆனது எந்தவொரு நாட்டின் கடற்கரையிலிருந்தும் 370 கிலோமீட்டர்  தொலைவில் தொடங்கி உலகின் மூன்றில் இரண்டு பங்கு அளவில் பெருங்கடல்களை உள்ளடக்கியது.

Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction

❖ India has signed an international agreement called the Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) Agreement, or the "Treaty of the High Seas". ❖ The goal of the BBNJ Agreement is to protect marine life in areas of the ocean that are not owned by any one country. ❖ These areas start 370 kilometres from any country's coastline and cover two-thirds of the world's oceans.

2022-23 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான வருடாந்திரத் தொழில்துறைக் கணக்கெடுப்பு (ASI) ஆனது, மத்திய புள்ளியியல் மற்றும் திட்ட அமலாக்க அமைச்சகத்தினால் வெளியிடப் பட்டு உள்ளது. * உற்பத்தித் துறையில் அதிக நபர்களை வேலைக்கு அமர்த்தும் மாநிலமாக தமிழ்நாடு திகழ்கிறது. இந்தியா முழுவதும் 1,84,94,962 நபர்கள் தொழிற்சாலைகளில் வேலையில் ஈடுபட்டு உள்ளனர் என்ற நிலையில் இதில் தமிழ்நாடு மாநிலத்தின் பங்கு 15% ஆக உள்ளது. மொத்தமுள்ள 2,53,334 தொழிற்சாலைகளில் 15.66% தொழிற்சாலைகளைக் கொண்டு தமிழ்நாடு மாநிலம் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது. தமிழ்நாடு, மகாராஷ்டிரா, குஜராத், உத்தரப் பிரதேசம் மற்றும் கர்நாடகா ஆகியன உற்பத்தித் துறையில் அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான நபர்களை வேலைக்கு அமர்த்தும் முதல் ஐந்து மாநிலங்கள் ஆகும். இந்த 5 மாநிலங்கள் ஆனது மொத்த உற்பத்தி சார்ந்த வேலைவாய்ப்பில் சுமார் 55% பங்கினைக் கொண்டுள்ளன. பெரிய மாநிலங்களில், மொத்த மதிப்புக் கூட்டல் (GVA) அடிப்படையில், 2022-23 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலம் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது. அதைத் தொடர்ந்து குஜராத், தமிழ்நாடு, கர்நாடகா மற்றும் உத்தரப் பிரதேசம் ஆகிய மாநிலங்கள் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளன.

Factory employment in the state

❖ The Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) 2022-23 was released by the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. ❖ Tamil Nadu was the top State employing the highest number of persons in the manufacturing. ❖ 1,84,94,962 number of persons were engaged in factories across India, and Tamil Nadu accounted for 15%. ❖ The State also has the highest number of factories accounting for 15.66% of the total 2,53,334 number of factories. ❖ The top five States employing highest number of persons in manufacturing were Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka. ❖ These 5 states contributing about 55% of total manufacturing employment. ❖ Among the major states, in terms of Gross Value Added (GVA), Maharashtra ranked first in 2022-23. ❖ It is followed by Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh.

❖ NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has shared a video of a Spiral galaxy known as Caldwell 45, or NGC 5248. ❖ The spiral galaxy is located 59 million light-years away from Earth. ❖ It is home to starburst regions – places where stars form at a much higher rate than usual.
