Tamil inscriptions from Alathudaiyanpatti temple

❖ The Tamilnadu state Epigraphy Division has recently deciphered two inscriptions copied from Arulmigu Somanathar Temple at Alathudaiyanpatti near Thuraiyur in Tiruchi district. ❖ The inscriptions were dated back to the Chola period. ❖ The two inscriptions written in Tamil were deciphered by the experts recently and found to be dating back to 13th century. ❖ One inscription has information about giving orders to Thirugnanasammandha Pandidhar for a specific period to carry out thirupani in the temple. ❖ It dates back to the period of Chola King Rajaraja - III. ❖ Another inscription records an order of the Nattars Valluvappadi (Nattolai) to Devarkanmi and accountant of the Azhagiya Someswaramudiya Nayanar Temple at Periyanavalur covenying the grant of dry and wet lands.

UPI லைட் மூலம் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் நேரடி எண்ணிமப் பண வழங்கீடுகளுக்கான பரிவர்த்தனை வரம்பை இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி உயர்த்தியுள்ளது. UPI லைட் தளத்தில் ஒரு பரிவர்த்தனைக்கான உச்ச வரம்பு 500 ரூபாயில் இருந்து 1,000 ரூபாயாக உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. UPI லைட்டின் மொத்தப் பணக்கோப்பு (வாலெட்) வரம்பு 2,000 ரூபாயில் இருந்து 5,000 ரூபாயாக ஆக அதிகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. UPI123Pay தளத்தில் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு பரிவர்த்தனைக்கான வரம்பு 5,000 ரூபாயில் இருந்து 10,000 ரூபாயாக அதிகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. UPI லைட் பயனர்களுக்கு இணைய இணைப்பின் தேவையில்லாமல் ஒரு குறைவான மதிப்புள்ள பொருள் வாங்குதல்களை மேற்கொள்ள உதவுகிறது.

New UPI Lite Limit 2024

❖ RBI has enhanced the transaction threshold for offline digital payments made via UPI Lite. ❖ The per-transaction UPI Lite ceiling has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000. ❖ The total wallet capacity for the UPI Lite has been expanded from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000. ❖ The per-transaction limit in UPI123Pay increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. ❖ The UPI Lite enables users to complete low-value purchases without requiring internet connectivity.

இரயில்வே திருத்த மசோதா 2024

Railways Amendment Bill 2024

❖ The current Bill proposes to simplify the legal framework by incorporating the proposals of the Indian Railway Board Act, 1905 in the Railways Act, 1989. ❖ It aims to provide statutory backing to the Railway Board, which has functioned without such sanction since its inception. ❖ The Bill proposes the decentralising financial and operational decision-making to zones, empowering them to manage the budgets, infrastructure works, and recruitment. ❖ It is supported by various committees, including the 2014 Sreedharan Committee. ❖ The Bill introduces Section 24A to allow the government to expedite superfast train operations and infrastructure upgrades. ❖ It will establish an independent regulator to oversee various aspects of Indian Railways, including tariffs, safety, and private sector participation.

Cyclone Fengal relief

❖ The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the release of ₹944.80 crore to Tamil Nadu from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for providing relief to the people affected by Cyclone Fengal. ❖ The SDRF is the main fund available with the State governments for their response to notified disasters. ❖ The Centre contributes 75% of the SDRF allocation for the general category States and Union Territories. ❖ But Centre’s contributions are 90% for the special category States/Union Territories (Northeastern States, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir). ❖ According to the Section 46 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the “NDRF supplements the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) in case of a disaster of severe nature, provided adequate funds are not available in the SDRF”.

இந்திய உள்துறை அமைச்சகம் ஆனது, ஃபெங்கல் புயலால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கு நிவாரணம் வழங்குவதற்காக என்று மாநிலப் பேரிடர் நிவாரண நிதியில் (SDRF) இருந்து தமிழகத்திற்கு 944.80 கோடி ரூபாயை வழங்குவதற்காக ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது. SDRF என்பது மாநில அரசுகள் ஆனது, அறிவிக்கப்பட்டப் பேரிடர்களுக்கான பல்வேறு நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்வதற்காக வழங்கப்படும் ஒரு முக்கிய நிதியாகும். பொதுப் பிரிவு மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் ஒன்றியப் பிரதேசங்களுக்கான SDRF ஒதுக்கீட்டில் 75% பங்கினை மத்திய அரசு வழங்குகிறது. ஆனால் சிறப்புப் பிரிவு மாநிலங்கள் / ஒன்றியப் பிரதேசங்களுக்கான (வடகிழக்கு மாநிலங்கள், சிக்கிம், உத்தரகாண்ட், இமாச்சலப் பிரதேசம் மற்றும் ஜம்மு மற்றும் காஷ்மீர்) SDRF ஒதுக்கீட்டில் மத்திய அரசின் பங்களிப்பு 90% ஆகும். 2005 ஆம் ஆண்டு பேரிடர் மேலாண்மைச் சட்டத்தின் 46வது பிரிவின் படி, "கடுமையான இயற்கைப் பேரழிவு ஏற்படும் சூழலில், SDRF நிதியில் போதுமான நிதி இல்லை எனில், மாநிலப் பேரிடர் மீட்பு நிதிக்கு NDRF கூடுதல் நிதியினை வழங்குகிறது".
