வலிப்பு நோய்க் கட்டுப்பாட்டுக்கான உலகின் முதல் மூளை உள்வைப்பு கூறு

ஐக்கியப் பேரரசினைச் சேர்ந்த இளம்பெண் ஒருவர் தனது வலிப்பு நோயின் தாக்கங்களைக் கட்டுக்குள் கொண்டு வர உதவும் வகையில் மூளை உள்வைப்புசாதனம் பொருத்தப்பட்ட உலகின் முதல் நபர் என்ற பெருமையைப் பெற்றுள்ளார். உள்ளார்ந்த மூளை செயல்பாடு தூண்டுதல் (DBS) சாதனம் ஆனது மின் சமிக்ஞைகளை மூளைக்குள் ஆழமாக அனுப்புகிறது என்பதோடு இது இவரின் பகல்நேர வலிப்புத் தாக்கங்களை 80% அளவிற்கு குறைக்கிறது. நியூரான் தூண்டுவிப்பானானது அசாதாரணமான வலிப்புத் தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் சமிக்ஞைகளைச் சீர்குலைக்க அல்லது தடுப்பதற்காக மூளைக்கு நிலையான மின் தூண்டுதல்களை வழங்குகிறது. இந்த நோயின் தன்மை மீண்டும் மீண்டும் வலிப்பு வரும் நிலையாகும். இந்தியாவில், 1,000 பேருக்கு சுமார் 3 முதல் 11.9 பேர் வரை வலிப்பு நோயால் பாதிக்கப் படுகின்றனர்.

இந்தியாவின் முதல் நிலக்கரி வாயுவாக்க ஆலை

ஜார்க்கண்டின் ஜம்தாரா மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள கஸ்தா நிலக்கரித் தொகுதியில் நிலத்தடி நிலக்கரி வாயுவாக்கத்திற்கான (UCG) இந்தியாவின் முதல் ஆலை நிறுவப்பட உள்ளது. நிலக்கரி வணிகத்தில் ஒரு புரட்சியை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக நிலக்கரியை கார்பன் டை ஆக்சைடு, மீத்தேன், ஹைட்ரஜன் மற்றும் கார்பன் மோனாக்சைடு உள்ளிட்ட பயனுள்ள வாயுக்களாக மாற்றுவதற்காக வேண்டி அது உள்-நிலை வாயுவாக்கத்தைப் பயன்படுத்த உள்ளது. இந்த வாயுக்கள் செயற்கையான இயற்கை வாயுவின் உருவாக்கம் மற்றும் வெடி பொருட்கள், உரங்கள் மற்றும் எரிபொருட்கள் தயாரிக்கப் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் இரசாயன மூலப்பொருட்களின் வேதியியல் கூறு போன்ற பல தொழில்துறை செயல் முறைகளில் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. · இந்தியாவின் புதைபடிவ எரிபொருட்களின் பயன்பாடு ஆனது 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 8% அதிகரித்துள்ளது என்ற நிலையில் இது தேவையின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும் ஒரு காரணமாக உள்ளது. மொத்த நுகர்வில் அதன் பங்கு 89% ஆகும்.

Blue Planet Prize 2024

❖ Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) is one of the two recipients of the 2024 Blue Planet Prize. ❖ The other awardee is Robert Costanza from the Institute for Global Prosperity, University College London . ❖ IPBES is the intergovernmental organisation established in Panama City in 2012. ❖ It is to strengthen the science-policy interface for biodiversity and ecosystem services for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. ❖ The Blue Planet Prize is awarded annually by Japan’s Asahi Glass Foundation.  ❖ It is awarded to individuals and organisations to recognise outstanding achievements in scientific research and its application, which have helped provide solutions to global environmental problems.

World’s First Brain Implant for Epilepsy Control

❖ A UK-based teenager has become the first person in the world to be fitted with a brain implant to help bring his epileptic seizures under control.  ❖ The deep brain stimulation (DBS) device sends electrical signals deep into the brain and has reduced her daytime seizures by 80%. ❖ The neurostimulator delivers constant electrical impulses to the brain to disrupt or block abnormal seizure-causing signals. ❖ Epilepsy isa condition that leads to recurring seizures. ❖ In India, between 3 and 11.9 per 1,000 people suffer from epilepsy.

India’s First Coal Gasification Pilot Project

❖ India’s first-ever pilot project for Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) comes at the Kasta coal block in Jamtara district, Jharkhand. ❖ It intends to use in-situ gasification to transform coal into useful gasses, including carbon dioxide, methane, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide in order to revolutionise the coal business. ❖ These gases are used in many industrial processes, such as the synthesis of synthetic natural gas and the chemistry of chemical feedstocks used to make explosives, fertilisers, and fuels. ❖ India’s use of fossil fuels increased by 8% in 2023, accounting for nearly all of the growth in demand. ❖ Its share of total consumption was 89%.

ULLAS திட்டத்தின் கீழ் முழு பயன்நிலைக் கல்வியறிவு

ULLAS - நவ் பாரத் சாக்சார்தா கார்யக்ரம் (புதிய இந்தியா கல்வியறிவுத் திட்டம் - NILP) திட்டத்தின் கீழ் முழு பயன்நிலைக் கல்வியறிவு பெற்ற முதல் நிர்வாக அலகு ஆக லடாக் மாறியுள்ளது. இந்த ஒன்றியப் பிரதேசம் ஆனது 97% கல்வியறிவு நிலையைத் தாண்டியுள்ளதை அடுத்து, அங்கு மத்திய அரசின் நிதியுதவி திட்டத்தின் ஒரு மாபெரும் வெற்றியை இது குறிக்கிறது.  இந்தத் திட்டம் ஆனது, 15 வயது மற்றும் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுடைய இளம் பருவத்தினருக்கு அடிப்படைக் கல்வியறிவு, எண்ணறிவு மற்றும் முக்கிய வாழ்க்கைத் திறன்களை மேம்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. தமிழி பொறிக்கப்பட்ட பானை ஓடு - கீழடி

Full Functional Literacy Under ULLAS
