❖ Vice President inaugurated the ‘Prerna Sthal’ on the Parliament House premises, where 15 statues of freedom fighters and icons of Indian history.

❖ It includes statues of MK Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar, previously established in different parts of the Parliament campus, have been relocated to a single location.

❖ The main objective of Prerna Sthal is that these statues within the Parliament complex should be installed at one place.

❖ But there is a dedicated committee for installing portraits and statues of national leaders and MPs in the Parliament House Complex

❖ It is called the Committee on the Installation of Portraits and Statues of National Leaders and Parliamentarians in the Parliament House Complex.

❖ It includes MPs from both Houses.

❖ However, the committee has not been reconstituted since 2019.
