❖ A total of 6,384 start-ups have come up since the new government assumed office in 2021.

❖ Until 2021, the total number of start-ups across the State was 2,032.

❖ The new government released the Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Policy in September 2023.

❖ As of today, the total number of start-ups in the State stands at 8,416

❖ As for women-led start-ups, the number rose from 966 in 2021 to 3,163 startups now.

❖ The State government has announced that a Global Startup Summit would be held in Chennai in January 2025.
