❖ Its normal level is about 21 metres.

❖ It is the lowest since measurements started 122 years ago.

❖ The Negro River drains about 10 per cent of the Amazon basin and is the world's sixth-largest by water volume.

❖ The 2250 Km long river passes through Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil.
