❖ The Malayalam-language drama Aattam won the Best Feature Film award.

❖ Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor award for Kantara.

❖ The Best Actress honour was shared by Nithya Menen (Thiruchitrabalam) and Manasi Parekh.

❖ Ponniyin Selvan - Part1 won the most (4) awards - Best Tamil Film, Best Sound Design, Best Cinematography and Best Music Director (Background Music).

❖ Best Music Director award was given to Pritam (Songs), AR Rahman (Background Score).

❖ This is the 7th National Film Awards for AR Rahman.
