❖ The first Bric summit was held in Russia's Yekaterinburg in 2009.

❖ South Africa was accepted as a full member at the Bric foreign ministers' meeting in New York in September 2010.

❖ The New Development Bank (NDB) was establishment in 2014, with a capital of $100 billion.
